About
Young Mutanabi Center started as a voluntary action project before its founder (Peta for Cultural Services ) was formally declared as a national Iraqi NGO. The center was inaugurated in July 2016 with a seed grant from DAP fund of the Australian Embassy in Baghdad. Peta needed a place where no costs should burden the kids and their families and that's how we partnered with ther Baghdadi Cultural Center that accommodated the project with two halls. the center received more than 3246 children till this writing and is open every Friday from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon. Totally free!


Co-founder and Manager
Amal Ibrahim is a professional translator and interpreter, and project designer who held the responsibility of transferring the pedagogical structures and activities into an Iraqi-friendly customized structure, where all Iraqi children would have free and non-conditional access to educational programs and games. The founder stressed that the ( fun to learn) methodology is the most effective tool for opening minds and enabling learning, developing its activities continuously with a network of experts that built up along the life span of the project.

Co-Founder
Dr. Maitham Mohammed Al-Harbi is a specialist in Modern Arabic Literature and has a degree in pedagogical programs. Al-Harbi has an original interest in enriching the educational curricula provided in schools especially at foundation levels and exerted efforts in transforming passive reading into a mind and soul enhancing experience. his perspective stressing on the words' ability to change and aspire well-being if correctly used and developed.
